Join our Diet Study! Be a part of our research efforts!
You probably know that Joslin Diabetes Center provides clinical care for patients with diabetes. But, did you know that Joslin is also involved in diabetes research?

Why is research important?
Without people being involved in research trials, we would not  be able to learn about diabetes and how to prevent it. Our goal is to learn more about nutrition and its role in the development of diabetes and heart disease in people with a family history of diabetes.

Our purpose
We would like to find out how Asians of Far Eastern descent will respond compared to Caucasians when they switch from Asian Diets to American diets.

Our study is looking for volunteers:

  • Healthy men and women between the ages of 25 to 50
  • Caucasian or Far East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) ethnicity
  • Family history of diabetes

 Eligible volunteers will receive:

  • Free prepared meals for 4 months
  • Free dental evaluations, physical exams, and lab results
  • Free parking as needed
  • Monetary compensation is available
  • An opportunity to contribute to important diabetes research.
Visit information
